Rhema Prayer Ministry History

God formed a prayer group that today is known as

Rhema Prayer Ministries.

          Over 30 years ago God, by His Eternal Holy Spirit, ignited within the hearts of two women a deep, earnest desire to pull aside and fellowship with the Father. Rev. Yvonne Stradford and Rev. Madeline Donaldson began praying together during their lunch hour. The Lord moved very gently, bringing a Word of Wisdom, a Word of Knowledge, tongues and interpretation or prophecy.  The Lord was calling them to walk a Holy life before Him; the Father had a purpose for their lives. Soon after, God divinely connected them with four others that had the same earnest desire.  

As years passed the Lord began to separate them geographically as several ladies relocated to various states. However, they continued to pray and come together for a time of fellowship. In April 1987, God directed them to gather annually. Now, over 20 years later, with eight chapters, including one in Jamaica West Indies, Rhema Prayer Ministries gathers annually to minister to the needs of women and men from all over the country.

Today by the leading and power of the Holy Spirit, Rhema Prayer Ministries, Inc. is called to spiritual warfare as intercessors; to break the bondages of Satan, break generational curses, defend and protect God’s mandate for family and the institution of marriage, and to release women so that they can know and exercise their authority in Jesus Christ.
